New focus for the creative workshop

The creative workshop has evolved over time to create a program in which the children can meet and function both individually and collectively.

The creative workshop consists of 4 phases. 
The first is the self-awareness through techniques such as art therapy, to enable participants to develop knowledge of one's feelings and recognize their faults and virtues. 



The second phase is the analysis and confrontation, where the students look at what they have learned in phase 1 and how it applies in the real world. In this phase, the participant can see how much they can give and contribute to society.

The third phase is the phase of creation. Here participants do a project where they can express what they have learned. 

And finally the fourth phase is broadcast. This phase is where participants spread what they have learned in the previous three phases into the community.

The latter workshop is part of the third phase of the creative workshop, is the phase of creation. The aim of this last workshop was that the participants saw the importance of being part of a group or collective and discover what role they wish to have in society. In the previous phases they covered emotions, and individual feelings so that they know each other better. Now at this stage of the creative workshop they put into practice what they learned in their groups.

The activity was to make a small film production and that within this children chose what role they wanted to have. They could decide if they wanted to be directors, photographers, actors, makeup artists, etc. 

The importance of this is that the participant assign their own role within a group.

One of the students decided he wanted to be the writer and director of the story and wrote the following story:

"Once upon a time, a child lived with his grandparents in a comfy healthy environment.

The child had a problem, he had no friends, and so began to misbehave.

His grandparents observed that the child ate too much junk food, dirtied the lake and answered back to his grandfather.

Time passed and it was getting worse until one day the lake was so dirty that animals were concerned, the birds prayed for a miracle, the ants left their home, herons left the lake and all the animals abandoned the natural lake area.

The boy realized that he was alone, that night he went home and dreamed:

His father and his mother were telling he should not litter and to think about what he had done. He had many friends at school. There was a demon that threw garbage and needed a doctor. Later the demon collected garbage and the animals came back to their habitat and the boy had friends again.

The boy woke up and regretted the way he had been behaving. He began collecting garbage in the lake, so the animals would be happy. Everything returned to normal because the human who destroyed everything, was now fixing it and so now had friends. "

With this story, the other children began working on their role, some children were actors and actresses, other makeup artists, photographers and together they made a play.

Photos and videos of the process and the play were taken and now they will edit and perform a composition for the fourth stage of the creative workshop, which is the broadcast their experiences. For this broadcast phase they participants will present the work they have done in a public place through murals, for example in the streets of San Juan la Laguna.

Nuevo enfoque del taller creativo

El taller creativo ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo para crear un programa en el que lo niños puedan conocerse y desenvolverse tanto individual como colectivamente.

En  este momento el taller creativo consta de 4 fases. La primera sería el Autoconocimiento a través de técnicas como por ejemplo Arteterapia, para que los participantes puedan desarrollar el conocimiento de los sentimientos propios y reconocerse con sus defectos y sus virtudes.

 
La segunda fase es el Análisis y confrontación, donde todo lo que han conocido y aprendido lo analizan y lo comparan en el contexto real en el que están. En esta fase, el participante puede ver cuánto puede dar a la sociedad y cuánto realmente quiere aportar.




 La tercera fase es la fase de creación. los participantes realizan por ejemplo una obra de teatro donde pueden plasmar lo que han aprendido.

Y por último la cuarta fase es la de difusión. En esta fase es donde los participantes difunden en su contexto aquello que han aprendido en las 3 fases anteriores. 

Este último taller forma parte de la tercera fase del taller creativo, es decir, la fase de La creación. El objetivo de este último taller fue que los participantes vieran la importancia que tienen dentro de un grupo o colectivo y que descubran que papel quieren tener en la sociedad. En las fases anteriores se trabajaron emociones, y sentimientos individuales para que se conocieran mejor ellos mismos y ahora en esta fase del taller creativo, ellos podían poner en práctica lo aprendido dentro de un grupo.

La actividad consistió en realizar una pequeña producción cinematográfica y que dentro de esta los niños escogieran qué papel querían tener. Ellos podían decidir si querían ser directores, fotógrafos, actores, maquilladores, etc. 

 
La importancia de esto es que el propio participante asigne su propio rol dentro de un grupo. 
Uno de los niños decidió que quería ser el escritor y director de la historia y escribió la siguiente historia:

“Erase una vez, un niño que vivía en un lugar confortable, vivía con sus abuelos en un ambiente saludable.

El niño tenía un problema, no tenía amigos, y por eso, comenzó a portarse mal.

Sus abuelos extrañados por su conducta observaron que el niño comía mucha comida chatarra, ensuciaba el lago y le contestaba mal al abuelo.

Pasó el tiempo y esto fue empeorando hasta que un día el lago estaba tan sucio que los animales se preocuparon, el pajarito rezó para que sucediera un milagro, las hormigas abandonaron su hogar, las garzas abandonaron el lago y todos los animales dejaron abandonada la naturaleza.

El niño se dio cuenta de que ahora si estaba solo, esa noche, llegó a su casa y soñó:

A su padre y a su madre diciendo que no debía tirar basura y que reflexionara. Que tenía muchos amigos en la escuela, que el demonio que tiraba basura necesitaba un doctor, que el demonio recogía la basura, que los animales regresaban a su hábitat y que tenía amigos.

El niño despertó y se arrepintió del mal que hizo. comenzó a recoger la basura en el lago, los animales se pudieron felices, todo regresó a la normalidad porque el humano que destruyó todo, ahora construyó y por eso ahora tenía amigos.”

Con esta historia, los otros niños empezaron a trabajar en su rol, unos niños serían los actores y actrices, otros maquilladores, otros fotógrafos y harían de la historia una obra teatral.

Se realizaron fotos y videos del proceso y de la historia y ahora se tienen que editar y realizar una composición, para cuando llegue la cuarta fase del taller creativo, que es la difusión. Para esta fase de difusión se planea presentar en un lugar público el trabajo realizado por los participantes, mediante murales por ejemplo en las calles de San Juan la Laguna.
